Business Continuty & Crisis Management

Business Continuity Management is a management process that identifies potential impacts that threaten an organisation and provides a framework for building resilience and the capability for an effective response which safeguards the interest of its key stake holders, reputation, brand and value creating activities. Disruptive incidents can debilitate the performance or even the survival of your hotel or your hotel group. A well planned response to an incident can enhance the image of your organisation.
Hotels are complex organisations with interdependent systems that are critical to excellent service and to the guest experience. At strategic level, it is vital to appreciate and evaluate the changing environment in which you operate. At the managerial level, the impact of these changes should be identified and planned for.
Business continuity, implemented appropriately and embedded in an organisation’s culture, will help manage and anticipate crises. A business continuity management system will equip your organisation with the tools to ensure disruptions do not become crises. The course offers comprehensive training in situational awareness, dealing with: information flows, reputational loss, shareholder value, stakeholder liaison and the implications of social media.
